Step 4: Generate the script

Step 1: Prepare the DOCX file
The current page accepts DOCX files containing up to 100,000 characters. Before uploading, remove material that is not part of the story, such as duplicated chapters, publishing metadata, promotional pages, unrelated notes, or multiple versions of the same scene.
Use this preparation checklist:
- Keep chapter headings consistent.
- Make character names easy to identify.
- Remove tracked changes and unresolved comments when possible.
- Check that the selected text stays within the 100,000-character limit.
- Upload the portion of the novel that contains the dramatic arc you actually want to adapt.
The final point matters. A short drama does not always need the entire novel. One relationship, mystery, revenge arc, or identity reveal may provide a stronger adaptation target than compressing every subplot.
